Behind the Scene

In April 2021, we began rehearsing for the Story to Stage Puppet Competition. Our performance was an adaptation of the popular Aesop’s fable, The Lion and the Mouse.

Putting on a puppet show is not as easy as it looks. Students gave up their recess times to practise using the puppets. They worked really hard with their voices, timing, positioning, movement and puppet operation!

Mr Stride teaches the team how to operate the puppets

Mary plays a hare who loves healthy food and Suki helps backstage.

Oscar plays a mouse who loves very large burgers!

Sophia plays a lioness who is surprisingly very nice!

Joshua plays a fast food restaurant employee who loves selling really big burgers.
